This privacy policy explains how Bigger Bird Creative, Inc. collects, uses, and shares information for MyKBO Stats, a community-focused baseball statistics service at https://mykbostats.com and in the related MyKBO Stats mobile apps.

Information we collect

You may use most of MyKBO Stats without creating an account. When you create or use an account, we collect the information needed to run that account, such as your email address, password hash, display name, optional location, optional favorite team, account confirmation status, and timestamps related to account activity.

If you use fantasy baseball features, picks, predictions, community features, or other interactive features, we store the information you submit and associate it with your account. Some profile information and activity, such as your display name, optional location, favorite team, picks, predictions, or public community activity, may be visible to other users.

If you use the mobile apps and enable push notifications, we collect device notification tokens, platform information, app environment, notification preferences, and related registration timestamps so that we can send the notifications you request.

Like most websites, our servers may receive technical information from your browser or device, such as IP address, request path, browser or device details, referring page, and timestamps. We may also collect error and diagnostic information when the site or apps fail.

How we use information

We use information to operate MyKBO Stats, provide account access, keep the site secure, remember preferences, send requested account emails and notifications, support interactive features, troubleshoot problems, measure site usage, and improve the site and apps.

We use email addresses for account-related messages such as confirmation, password reset, email-change confirmation, and responses to support requests. We do not use account email addresses for unrelated marketing lists unless you separately ask to receive those messages.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies, browser local storage, and similar browser storage for essential site functions and preferences. This includes session cookies for logged-in users, optional remember-me cookies, security cookies for administrators, and preference values such as dark mode, time zone display, and player-link behavior.

If analytics are enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies to help us understand aggregate site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may prevent login, preference saving, or other site features from working correctly.

Third-party services

We use service providers to operate the site and apps. These providers may process information for us only as needed to provide their services. Current examples include:

Google Fonts and cdnjs to deliver front-end assets.
Mailgun to send account-related email.
Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service to deliver mobile push notifications.
Rollbar and hosting infrastructure providers to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

MyKBO Stats also links to third-party websites, app stores, social networks, and baseball-related resources. Those websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Information sharing

We do not sell account personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances:

With service providers that help us operate MyKBO Stats.
When required by law or valid legal process.
When reasonably needed to enforce our terms, prevent abuse, or protect rights, property, or safety.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of service assets.
With your consent or at your direction.

Public or community information you choose to submit may be visible to other users and visitors. Aggregated or de-identified information may be used or shared for analytics, reporting, or site improvement.

Data retention

We keep account information while your account remains active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. Account session and confirmation tokens expire or are deleted according to their purpose.

We make a good-faith effort to retain ordinary application server logs under our control that include IP addresses for no more than 90 days, unless we need to keep them longer for security, debugging, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons. Logs, analytics records, diagnostics, backups, and infrastructure records kept by service providers may follow those providers' retention practices.

Mobile notification tokens and notification settings are kept while they appear active or as needed to provide notifications. If a push provider reports that a token is no longer registered, we may deactivate it.

Your choices

You can update your email address, password, and profile information from your account settings. You can delete your account from the account management page. Deleting your account removes account profile information and settings from the active application database, but some information may remain in backups, logs, public content already displayed to others, aggregated records, or records we must keep for security, legal, or operational reasons.

You can disable mobile push notifications through your device settings or the app notification settings. You can change browser cookie and local-storage settings in your browser, though some site features may stop working.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, or to ask questions about how your information is handled. We may need to verify your account or request before acting on it, and some requests may be limited by security, legal, operational, backup, or abuse-prevention requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website or app can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

Children

MyKBO Stats is a general-audience baseball statistics service and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

International users

MyKBO Stats is operated from the United States and South Korea. We use South Korea-based hosting in part so that Korean users can use core site features, including account registration, through infrastructure located in South Korea. Some information may still be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate, including providers for email, analytics, push notifications, security, diagnostics, and hosting support. If you use the site or apps from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the date above.
